Who are we?

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is a charity fundraising committee providing funds for a range of items and activities that enhance the children’s lives in school. All parents automatically become members of the PTFA when their child joins the school and everyone is welcome at meetings which are publicised in advance in the ‘Mail on Monday’. We meet in the school hall or occasionally the Pub!

What do we do?

We organise a range of social and fundraising events during the year. Many activities are designed to be ‘family events’ but there are some that are aimed specifically at a solely adult audience. All are fun!

What’s it for?

Every child in the school benefit from the work of the PTFA.

Projects the PTFA has helped fund are:

  • Hall Climbing Frame
  • Playground Climbing Frame
  • Christmas Pantomime Trip
  • Playground Tyre Park
  • Digital Cameras
  • Video Cameras
  • Playground Markings
  • Murals for the hall and cloakrooms
  • IT equipment
  • Fittings for the school library

Our biggest project in recent years has been to finance the new outdoor classroom.

We also provide each child on starting school with their first reading bag, school water bottle and cap.

How can you help?

We hope that you, your family and friends will be able to attend some or all of the events we organise – perhaps even get involved in running some of them. This can be anything from a little time spent helping out in the background, perhaps utilising a specific skill you (or your employment!) may have, to perhaps joining the committee.

The success of the PTFA depends entirely on the support of parents, carers, staff and the community. Please share your fundraising ideas with us. We greatly appreciate any assistance. The more hands the better - at the end of the day it’s all of our children that benefit.
